The Philippine College of Criminology (PCCR) proudly marks
its 71st Founding Anniversary from February 10 to 16, 2025, celebrating more
than seven decades of academic excellence and leadership in Criminology
education. With the theme “71 Years of Transforming Futures and Inspiring
Innovation,” this year’s celebration underscores PCCR’s enduring commitment to
shaping future law enforcers through cutting-edge education, research, and
training.
The week-long festivities will feature a dynamic lineup of
events, beginning with the Grand Parade and Kick-Off Ceremony on February 10.
Students, faculty, and alumni will be able to participate in academic
competitions, research colloquiums, mentorship programs, intramural games, and
community initiatives—all designed to celebrate PCCR’s legacy while fostering
camaraderie and professional growth.
PCCR President Angelica Lei Bautista reaffirmed PCCR’s
significant influence in the f field of Criminology. She highlighted PCCR’s
unparalleled role in shaping the nation’s law enforcement and criminal justice
sectors, stating, “Among the hundreds of criminology schools in the country,
PCCR has remained a trailblazer. Many of today’s leaders in law enforcement and
criminal justice trace their roots back to our institution.”
President Bautista also emphasized the increasing role of
technology in criminology education, particularly in crime prevention and cyber
criminology. Addressing the need for modernized learning, she remarked, “We
want our students to go beyond conventional law enforcement—we want them to
solve the world’s most pressing challenges through the integration of
technology and justice.”
As PCCR celebrates 71 years of excellence, it remains at the
forefront of criminology education, continuously innovating to prepare future
law enforcers for the evolving landscape of justice and security. This
